Words

It being what season it is, I wound up taking some of the pink stuff to help me breathe.

And with that letting-go, as the DVD of The Court Jester froze yet again, and I wanted to kick its ass from here into sometime next week, I found the words.

Hope depends on the willingness to accept hope. Pride. Pride and despair. Vision and pride. Vision and despair. Vision, with no faith that there are things left unseen. Despair. No hope left in that which is seen.

The unseen still holds hope.

*$#*^#@ poorly-made items...

Last night before Figment came over, a certain item of mine, teal-colored, an item that is very dear to me, and one that my Kittenhate readers will be familiar with (if the reader is not familiar with http://www.kittenhate.com, perhaps the reader should consider that it is not safe for work before investigating, and if the reader is not comfortable learning about anything I might log on Kittenhate, perhaps the reader should not read my personal Kittenhate account), ceased to function as designed.

Since I've had two previous items of this design fail in this exact manner, I must conclude that the rheostat has a design flaw. A great pity, as the rest of the item is approaching perfect for the intended purpose...

Weekend

Today's the last day of my weekend. I got more done at home than I'd really anticipated, but not half as much as I would have liked to have gotten done.

But that's how it shakes out.

Up next: plasma, writing group, and, we are to hope, getting some of the handwritten pages for cuttingrmfloor typed up. At least I can do that while things are going on at writing group, because I have difficulty just sitting in one place and being still.

Today's also the Day of Silence, and while my actual participation is probably not going to happen, given that I do have to verbally answer questions at the plasma place, I support those who are doing this. I did this for a few years, and the experience was remarkable. (I should probably find my commentary on what did happen that one year and type it up, because that was dreadful.)

Last night, I was having a very bad evening, with an allergy attack, dehydration, and PMS (it's about that time again, and I found myself snapping at Figment later), so Figment came over, and we wound up watching most of The Court Jester (Danny Kaye is so very slashy) until disc errors made the thing lag and do bad things. We'll watch it later on his home machine.

Now, I head off to freshstartwrite -- and I really should update the information there, since it's probably changed.
