Ahead of schedule. Got my glasses fixed. I have a significant amount of waiting before Darkside will be about.

All systems good. Plasma given. Glasses fixed. Tigereye retrieved. Bad puns. A warm and awkward hug. The bond. Yes.

Lost: the cable to the nic. The bleeding half-duplex thing is on the fritz. Easier to replace entirely. Fry's tomorrow.

20 minutes. The spark at Thanksgiving was thicker simply because we were alone then. I want 365 day light rail to Mesa.

I think I lack ice-cream. My friends Ben and Jerry will fix this. Darkside tried to sneak up on me in the mall. Failed.

Yay literacy. A nice rousing discussion of books on the bus. I have a migraine that is not mine. One thing I did not miss

Home again...

Home is where the heart is, and my heart hitched a ride in the trunk of a grey sedan into the depths of suburban Mesa. My body is back in Phoenix, along with the (rather dusty) laptop.

The migraine that was ghosting its way into my right eye has mostly given up. I don't get these things often. It wasn't a severe one -- just a small needle rather than a whole icepick or an axe. I used to get them more when I was fifteen and sixteen, back when I was dating the Lady E (to be distinguished from E-who-is-starbrow).

There was severe wind the other evening. Branches came off trees, power went out elsewhere, and all manner of chaotic things happened. There's wind just as vigorous tonight.

Of late, apartment staff has been having hoses out soaking down plants. Either the sprinkler system has problems, or it is not delivering enough water to help the plants cope with the intense heat. Where's an Emperor Worm determined to terraform when we need one?

There has been a lanky black-and-white cat with huge paws hanging about for the last several months. I think he's stray. I think he's male. Lately, there has been a tiny polydactyl kitten in the same color scheme. The woman with the great huge dog downstairs and over is determined to catch it and get it decatted if she can. The little thing is utter cuteness.

There was some rain just now. I think my umbrella and I are going to hike to the store to resupply on the things we need -- lettuce, carrots, ice cream. I love the wind and the rain. Maybe the rain will keep the dust down.
