Trying for a double shift today. Hope to get extras Monday & tuesday. Dawn called yesterday . She's more elusive than Darkside.

Some of the old employees have returned from the layoffs. It also seems that the poser geek was fired for email stunts.

Wolf whistle ok. Waiting for me in the parking lot after that is creepy. Though am sure offer of "a ride" was sincere.

The plight of the lady with the problem is no secret, despite attempts to keep it hushed.

Work!

I think we're a couple of dunces short of a confederacy.

I find some people just irrationally annoying in the morning. Fortunately, I don't work closely with any of them. Unfortunately, I do have to monitor them.

I try to be fair.

Free Fall Guy is in again today. It's his second day. It's also his second minus report. There are some mistakes that can be overlooked in a beginner. There are some things that cannot, like calling back people who have unmistakably hung up on you.

By specific request of the Princess, I monitor someone again... someone who potentially may be hanging up on people or sitting on screens at lunchtime so that she is sure to go on break at the right time without danger of being delayed.

I am pulling a double shift today; I'm check-in/monitor this afternoon. I'm monitor-only this morning. There were 4 monitors scheduled, but we didn't have enough people to warrant that many, so Trader Joe's Queen went back on the phones for the day. I agree with the idea that the Queen Bee Monitor has about over-scheduling monitors to ensure proper coverage of $ISSUE_SIDE_JOB.

Work people; Darkside.

Quiet Geek Super is moving on -- a chip fabrication job landed in his lap and he took it. It's with a startup, so he's getting in on the ground floor. Sweet.

This makes me the geekiest regular bullpen person, by attrition. Comic Pirate Super is geekier, but he's not out here as much. Obso1337 Super is more than a few years out of date. Homie G. and Not-So-Nice Supervisors try, but they're not particularly geek by vocation. Groucho Marx Glasses Guy is in-training, and is very cute, but is not quite Geek yet, though he may well have the vocation for it.

Though Plaid Geek is out here quite a lot.

Called the Darkside. He was headachey and not up for conversation. Alas. Updated him on greetings from Sis and Dawn and all. There was some private snickering and eye-rolling over one of the items of interest.

It's coming up on a three-week genuine-communications gap for us, just through bad timing last week and this week. Four days of bad timing shouldn't equal three weeks without good communications, but that's what happens. I've learned to live with it, if not like it.

There has to be some sort of logical spark that differentiates the "good friend that I shall never want to lose, not ever" from the "person I shall want to spend the rest of my life with". It passed that over a year ago, with me.
