Eris Raven, Marah

The little things...

I still have yet to get a really good picture of Hermione-cat. (I need to also check with her human about omfg when is he moving into his new place, because it's been a month.)

Snarky Lady's Assistant gave me a little bag of catnip, which I tucked into my purse. I didn't think about it again until tonight when I got home, and shortly thereafter, Hermione was lying on my bed ripping away at the purse with her mercifully short claws. (Purse is a $7 walmart purse on at least its second season. I don't do the fancy purse thing.)

Her cat tree, which she's been ignoring, now has some of the 'nip sprinkled on it. She was paying attention to that, at least!
O RLY

So much Tuesday that it turned into Wednesday while I wasn't looking!

X-Files Sequel.

Pressing the Pants Suit -- follow-up and analysis.

Being pregnant is only slightly more safe than being near a firearm and having an accident.

http://xkcd.com/c259.html -- hee.

I also have a new series to sit down and start watching with Darkside: M*A*S*H. I'm seeing a rather lot of his sarcastic wit in there, and given his background, I'm sure he grew up on it. I wonder if his family has the series; I think it's something they probably would have. I think it's also something that he'd enjoy watching with me. I also think it might be an Event for the Whole Family. (Speaking of which, I still need to poke his mom about HP. Speaking also of which: we should probably start organizing the local trip about now.)

hcolleen had a Cunning Plan, which I completely approve of. No details to follow. I have a Cunning Plan, which no one except me approves of, because I'm the only one who knows it. Cunning Plans for the win.

While leaving anime night, I realized that I hadn't talked to Darkside since Sunday. (Or was that Saturday? I think it was Saturday, because I was tech-supporting with V on Sunday.) I got the twitchy withdrawal-feeling. I must e-mail him, and perhaps sneak a few moments before dinner tomorrow night.

May means no more smoking in/around indoor public places in Phoenix. I think we were plotting to return to the Willow House, to see how things were going there, now that we can all breathe while in there. Snarky Lady mentioned Wisconsin's answer to that family of law -- all smoking-friendly establishments promptly converted to private clubs, in which they could and did allow smoking. Typical cover charges for places of that nature? $0.01-$0.10, she said.

One headache, free to a good home.

Hacking away. Got the 2nd tier of report tables set up with their append query.

Did you post the LJ Mojo meme? With image? Learn why you should have done so under an lj-cut.

My tea this morning tastes burned. I am regretful.

Oh, and guess what week my body's finally decided it is, full-force? I don't get it. I seem to get a spot of preliminary bleeding now before things actually turn on, and it's anywhere from a few days to a week ahead. *sigh*

http://littera-abactor.livejournal.com/7748.html -- "I Has a Sweet Potato." I didn't read the whole thing when metaquotes featured it, but then elorie linked it, and I knew it had to be good. Dog. Sweet potato. Human. Put down all beverages.

Homophones. Learn them, love them.

*headache*

Microsoft Office Access 2003's DatePart ("q", [date]) function is not behaving as it's supposed to. It seems to be returning Q4 for a date in January; I've determined that I *will*

Oh, for the love of little orange sweet potatoes. It was making assumptions about which [month] to pull from. That bastard. *slappity* I thought I'd specified. Bastard.

I selected which one in the GUI when I put it in the query, but the underripe raspberry decided to ignore that when I started typing in the DatePart bit of the business. Joy.

Anyone want a headache? I have one. I'll give it away cheap.

(Note: I do not have actual physical head pain. I have conceptual head pain and weariness of the brainz. Actual frequent head pain would lead me to stop grinding my teeth, drink more water, and consult an actual health professional.)

Ow.

My adjusted typing speed is 65+ wpm. Good to know. (I say 65+, because once I got up to speed, my speed varied between 66-70, and I know that's slow because I'm typing things I'm reading off the screen, not typing things out of my head, and there are some words in there that my fingers just plain do not know the way they know other words, so I have to slow way down to some sort of human typing speed in order to actually make them come out right and without the mighty typo.

Nggggh. I broke more things. (Important things. Like, the series of queries I use to get my Hours table.) This means that Snarky Lady will not get her stats until tomorrow. Fortunately, she knows that having things like, oh, the inbounder's break time not falling out somewhere, are good things to have. And if it happens to him, it could happen to someone else. So, yeah.
