I choose YOU!!

[14:20:28] <MissKat> We are a quiet bunch today.
[14:21:46] <remark> there we are a standing in a row
[14:23:16] <Azz> I would be a lot happier with Chatzilla if my Firefox were more stable.
[14:23:24] <Azz> It has crashed like twice recently.
[14:26:23] <MissKat> FF3.5 has been remarkably stable
[14:26:38] <MissKat> Not stable like remark though. It hasn't tried to kill me in at least a week. <3
[14:31:23] <Azz> Oh, what does remark typically use in his assassination attempts?
[14:31:36] <Tango> zilch dice
[14:31:41] <Azz> Fish?
[14:31:42] <remark> hahahahahahaha
[14:31:48] * remark slaps Azz around a bit with a large trout
[14:32:06] <remark> tango is winning. WE NEED FUNNY ANSWERS PEOPLE
[14:33:34] <wychwood> terrible puns?
[14:33:53] <wychwood> acronyms so filthy they give people diseases just reading them?
[14:34:00] <remark> hahahahaaha
[14:38:00] <Azz> A desk chair
[14:38:12] <Azz> (no, wait, that's me)
[14:38:58] <remark> *evil music plays*
[14:39:24] * wychwood turns off the radio
[14:39:37] <remark> the day the music dieeeed
[14:40:03] <wychwood> i drove to the levee, but the levee was dry
[14:40:41] <remark> perhaps if you traded in your chevy for one that doesn't clunk, there might be some liquid left
[14:40:57] <wychwood> that's what the good ol' boys told me, it's true
[14:41:32] <wychwood> what's the penalty for rickrolling #dw?
[14:41:38] <Azz> (I thought you were going to sell it if you guys had another kid?)
[14:41:39] <wychwood> i'm fairly sure it's something severe
[14:41:50] <Azz> tickling by Skullbutt?
[14:41:52] <remark> THE TORMENTOR
[14:42:36] <remark> which also raises the question, is it really a rickroll if it misses both the beginning of the song and the beginning of the chorus?
[14:42:40] <remark> I submit that it is not
[14:43:29] <wychwood> well, it's enough to earworm people susceptible to the song
[14:43:44] <wychwood> which i would personally count under the rubric of rickrolling
[14:43:49] <remark> I would not
[14:43:57] <remark> the earworm is beyond the scope of the rickroll
[14:43:59] <Azz> Lyrics in sufficient quantity to earworm anybody count as a rickroll.
[14:44:01] <wychwood> what does everyone else think? #DW VOTE
[14:44:10] <wychwood> yeah, but surely part of the evil of the rickroll is the earworming?
[14:44:14] <remark> azz, disagree!
[14:44:26] <remark> rickroll does not earworm me, but I have been rickrolled
[14:44:36] <wychwood> like, rickrolling has no real impact unless you get earwormed
[14:44:36] <remark> therefore, the earworm is not part of the rickroll
[14:44:41] <remark> and an earworm does not MAKE a rickroll
[14:44:46] <remark> false!
[14:44:49] <remark> lies and deceit!
[14:45:04] * Azz gets out the desk chair box and stands behind remark
[14:45:26] * remark throws pokeballs at azz
[14:45:36] * Azz pokes the pokeballs
[14:48:07] <Azz> the way I see it, there are two components to the rickroll: the rick, which is of course The Song, and some unsuspecting mark's deliberate exposure to said song on the part of Certain Parties (e.g. remark).
[14:48:36] <Azz> Thus, if someone clicks a link to the song, they are of course rickrolled (unless they clicked it on purpose, knowing what it was)
[14:49:09] <Azz> however, if someone is easily earwormed, a mere mention of some part of the lyrics may be sufficient to cause an exposure.
[14:49:36] <remark> but! seeing the lyrics and immediately identifying it removes the unsuspectitude, making it expected. the rick is present, the roll is not
[14:49:39] <Azz> thus, if a tree falls in the forest and no one is in channel to get earwormed by it, remark is still to blame.
[14:49:48] <MissKat> Some people get the flu when you cough around them. Some people get the flu when you mention your cousin hadit once.
[14:49:49] <remark> you are WRONG
[14:50:08] <MissKat> Azz is never wrong.
[14:50:11] <remark> haha kat. I have no idea which way that argument goes
[14:50:15] <remark> azz IS wrong
[14:50:16] * Azz makes her move with the box
[14:50:36] * remark raises arm, ready to throw pokeball
[14:50:44] <remark> wait now
[14:50:45] * MissKat duct tapes remark to the desk chair
[14:50:46] <remark> no
[14:50:53] * Azz creeps up behind remark
[14:51:10] * remark has +25 defense against duct tape, due to playing with it more than you could possibly imagine
[14:51:33] <Azz> (the bobcat reacts badly to duct tape on its fur)
[14:51:35] * remark lowers pokeball, raises ultraball
[14:51:53] <remark> badly how?
[14:52:09] <Azz> I'm not sure, but if you don't get it in the ball pretty quickly you're going to find out
[14:52:16] * remark throws ultraball
[14:52:22] <remark> at bobcat
[14:52:25] <remark> (it shakes once)
[14:52:28] <remark> (it shakes twice)
[14:52:31] <remark> bobcat is captured!
[14:53:16] * remark names bobcat RickAstl
[14:53:25] * remark sends RickAstlé to Bill's PC
[14:57:06] * remark can't wait to see the look on Nurse Joy's face when told that I have a bobcat that needs duct tape adhesive removed from its fur
Gone away, gone ahead,
Echoes roll unanswered.
Empty, open, dusty, dead.
Why have all the Weyrfolk fled?

Where have dragons gone together
Leaving weyrs to wind and weather,
Setting herdbeasts free of tether;
Gone, our safeguards, gone, but whither?

Have they flown to some new weyr
Where cruel Threads some others fear?
Are they worlds away from here?
Why, oh why the empty weyr?
